Basecamp COVID-19 Update
In compliance with Rapid City Council decision to close all non-essential businesses, Basecamp has made the difficult decision to temporarily close for all public and members-only hours. This will go into effect on Friday at 6 PM. Members, your fobs will be deactivated and access will not be granted.
We are still figuring out how to do refunds for the last 3 days of March, but we will distribute those funds fairly as soon as we can.
Memberships will be "frozen", so as soon as the council votes to allow businesses to re-open, members can have access within 24 hours. You will not be charged on April 1 but on the date access begins. If you would prefer to cancel your membership, let us know by replying to this email as soon as possible.
Thanks to the Black Hills climbing community for all the support you've shown us. As a small business that opened 3 weeks before having to close for COVID-19, know that we will work hard and do what we can to make sure we can re-open.
The last few weeks at Basecamp we've seen friendships formed, strength gained, technique improved, and so much encouragement of fellow climbers. We're so proud to be part of this community and look forward to opening again as soon as possible.
