Ready. Get set. CLIMB!

Get ready to try hard and have fun! The Intro to Climbing Series is an introduction to the rock climbing discipline of bouldering.  With one hour sessions on five consecutive Saturdays, this is the perfect way to try a new skill.  Climbing is a great way to increase your core strength & body awareness, and this series is perfect for those with little to no experience.

Basecamp's introductory classes will teach students climbing safety, footwork, and tips & tricks to climb routes on various terrains with our experienced climbing instructors.  


Climbing shoe rentals are included in the cost of the series.  Just wear comfortable clothes, and bring a bottle of water

Next class series will begin in October. Next Intro+ Class starts in November.


Week 1

Intro to Climbing Safety

Basecamp orientation and learning to manage risk in climbing.  Spend time learning to fall and being aware of other climbers.

Week 2

Intro to Climbing Footwork

Using your feet is the best way to increase your climbing skills quickly.  Learn about your climbing shoes and how to use them.


Week 3-5

Tips & Tricks

Lots of time to climb, our instructor will design exercises to teach you how to effectively move your body on the climbing wall.

Intro To Top Rope Climbing Outside Series

Learn to tie the figure eight follow through--the climbers' knot

Learn to belay!

We will set up ropes in the gym with counter weights to simulate belaying a climber outside

Learn climbing techniques through experiential learning at the gym

Meet other people intereste

All supplies included-- climbing shoes, ropes, harnesses, belay devices

Sept 5-27

And OUTSIDE Sept 30 8:30-3:30

Intro Plus Series

If you've been climbing a few months or have taken our Intro to Bouldering Series, maybe the Intro PLUS Series can help you take your climbing to the next level.  Meet other climbers at your level of experience AND learn skills to improve your efficiency on the wall! Everyone who signs up for the Intro+ will also receive a free consultation with our personal trainer. Next Intro+ Class coming in 2024
