This year's camp will focus on Team Black Hills' first principle:

MOVEMENT CLINICS
Aug 19th & 20th
U13 Athletes: Noon–2PM
U15+ Athletes: 2-5PM
Join our professional coaching team for experiential learning, both on set boulders AND on spray walls designed with competition-style movement in mind. This year, we will ensure customized learning for every ability, focusing strongly on (1) coordination movement, (2) low-angle smearing, and (3) committing through strenuous positions.
REST DAY
Friday, Aug 21st
Rest is as important as physical exertion in athletic progress. While our setters prepare the comp boulders for the weekend, please take this day to recover (eating and sleeping well), preparing you for the simulation ahead. If there's interest, we could potentially plan a rest day activity with participants.
COMP SIMULATION
Saturday, Aug 22nd
Redpoint Simulation: 9AM–Noon
4-Minute Simulation: Start List TBA
Athletes must choose to participate in either the Modified Redpoint Simulation (like a USAC Qualifier) -OR- the 4-Minute Round Simulation (given individual call-times in the afternoon). Each athlete will also privately debrief the simulation with our coaches afterward.
COMP BOULDER PRACTICE
Sunday, Aug 23rd
All Athletes: 9AM–Noon
For one final movement session, rejoin our coaches/setters on the boulders from Saturday. Together, we will tackle remaining projects and ramp suitable boulders up/down in difficulty to progress your current abilities.
